Fergie: Buy Torres For Chelsea's Champions League Obsessed
Bola.net - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has also launched a psy war on Chelsea ahead of Champions League quarter-final.
According to Ferguson, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich deliberately to buy Fernando Torres with an expensive price to 50 million pounds just to win the Champions League.
Ferguson added that Abramovich was obsessed with the Champions League, the European title that has never achieved the Blues during the era of the Russian tycoon at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea almost won the Champions League three years ago in the final in Moscow. But John Terry et al ambition was thwarted United through on penalties drama.
Torres alone up to now has not even scored a goal for Chelsea since brought in from Liverpool late January.
"The Champions League is the trophy that is desired by the (Roman) Abramovich, so he bought Torres," Ferguson said as quoted by Tribal Football.
"It (Champions League) is the real reason when you buy players at 50 million pounds and the season four more months left to live,"
"That is the target Abramovic really wants, but they must pass through us to get it,"said Ferguson. (tri / zul)
